God is good. The Lord sent rain last week. He is very good to those who love Him and even to those who do not (Matthew 5:45). On my property alone it amounted to 31 million gallons or about 8,000 tons of water. It came from the air above! It came in little drops! It came evenly all around! It was pure! It’s all marvelous. We don’t often think about it. We don’t much give thanks and praise. Look at this sequence:
Job 5:8 But as for me, I would seek God, and I would place my cause before God. Why? Job 5:9 He does great and unsearchable things, wonders without number. Example? Job 5:10 He gives rain on the earth and sends water on the fields.
The point? The rain is a powerful witness of God’s great goodness and unsearchable wisdom (Acts 14:17). We have every reason to pray, to seek God, and to place our cause before Him.
