. . . that I may gain Christ. – Phil. 3:8

All that a man can have in this life or in the next is Christ. Other things can be gained, but they fall through the fingers. They melt. They are shortly stripped away at death if not sooner. The faceless masses of humanity are born, live, and die like beasts, like flies, without finding the one thing that they desperately needed for their eternal welfare. Christ is the Passport we must have at the gate to heaven. Christ is the Key to the gate of glory. Christ is the only Bread that contains immortality — enough to overcome death. We go through this life with this one big opportunity — gaining Christ.
